Animal control services we offer in Reston, VA include:

Bat Removal

There are 16 species of bats in Virginia. Four (Gray Bat, Indiana Bat, Virginia-Big-eared Bat, and Rafinesque’s Big-eared Bat) are protected as endangered species, but 12 are not. None of the three types of bats most likely to take residence in a building (Big Brown Bat, Evening Bat, and Little Brown Bat) are protected species. Let us remove your unwanted bats, regardless of species.

Raccoon Removal

Raccoons are one of the most common nuisance animals in Northern Virginia and won’t hesitate to take up residence in attics, chimneys, crawl spaces, barns, etc. A thumping or stomping noise in your attic is a common sign of a raccoon infestation. It is essential to remove them and relocate them far away, because they often rip open ducts, chew on electrical wiring, contaminate, tear and even destroy insulation.

Squirrel Removal

Squirrels are not shy about taking up residence in your attic, especially during the winter, and can cause a great deal of damage while there. Their nesting sites turn into toxic messes because cleaning up squirrel feces presents a health hazard. Flying squirrels require different trapping techniques and are harder to get rid of, but SES can remove all types of squirrels from your home.

Snake Removal

When you see a snake regularly on your property, you’ll want to have it removed because it probably has built a den in your crawl space on in a nearby area where it can access your home for warmth. If you’ve got a snake inside your house, don't try to catch it because of the danger of a snake bite. Instead, call SES. Our specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome snakes from homes and properties.

Skunk Removal

Skunks carry rabies and emit a foul-smelling spray. You don't want them in your home and you should not try to trap them yourself. Instead, SES' wildlife control specialists are trained to humanely catch and remove troublesome skunks from homes and attics.

Our animal removal crews are available on a 24/7/365 basis! All the repair work done by our trained repair technicians is guaranteed for 12 months. If you call SES to have a technician reinspect the work before the end of 12 months, we will guarantee it for an additional year!

Jason took care of us through our wildlife invasion (turned out to be flying squirrels!). He made as many visits as necessary every time we heard a new noise, and you could tell he really cared about making us feel safe in our home. His customer service was great, and he was very knowledgeable about all the possible animals and the signs they leave. Can't recommend him and Summit enough!

Your search stops here - these guys are the BEST!

I can't tell you how grateful I am for the SES team, and especially Tim. I am a huge, shameless animal lover. So when squirrels started biting holes in our wood siding to make their nests, I was terrified that I wouldn't find anyone who took their health and wellbeing as seriously as I do. I knew they needed to go, but my heart ached thinking about what they might be subjected to.

But Tim was our angel! He reassured me that the squirrels would be removed humanely, and he even owns property that he releases them on. Knowing that they would be loved and cared for meant the world to my partner and I. It only took a day for the squirrels (mama and two adolescents!) to be removed after the humane trap was set. That same day he patched our holes.

I can't say enough compliments about this team. If you care about good service, good people, and a job well done (and humanely!) then give them a call.

They're the BEST! Thanks again, Tim!!

Install bat one way on backside of the home for a period of time. Install brown sheet metal along the open fascia board on front and rear of the home. Metal will cover the gap between the fascia and the siding where the bats are entering. Re secure any cap flashing with white screws to prevent entry of bats.

Install roof vent guards over six roof vents on the roof. These will be caulked so as to ensure no leakage occurs. Install metal and a matching color under the soffit at the eave that adjoins a lower roof to prevent future entry. Inspect rear rain gutter where it abuts the chimney, so as to determine if this area is a possible entry point. Advise the homeowner if this area has damage from water and rotting wood. If not, seal this gap with stainless steel screen to prevent animals from attempting chewing an entry points, and allowing airflow to keep the area dry.
